Meh. We had a recent "scandal" here in Phoenix involving an officer and his "canine partner." The SOB let the dog die in our usual heat, in the car, over eight hours. He claimed to have been "too busy" and forgotten it, as if one could do that with 'partner' of any species. A girlfriend of mine argued that letting the dog die was a "capital offense" (she was trying to understand why the K-9 unit was sometimes regarded as equals with their human companions). I insisted it was an unpleasant and unexcusable oversight, but not the same thing as deliberately killing a human or a police officer. I also love German Shepherds more than most any other breed, but it was still sad fodder for the local news.

ppx-girlfriend?I had gotten the impression that you're a friend of Dorothy, Larry's penpal, or whatever.

Unless Disney has an "Ol' Yeller" playground in that park, it's various shades of "more wrong than usual" to leave your pets to die while you vacation with people dressed up as Goofy.
