There is nothing even vaguely unbiased about this story, but it does profile a very disturbing, very recent incident in which working people - who would probably turn down a chance to unionize if it were offered to them - were screwed over really, really hard.

Note to self: call relatives and friends in Europe and the UK and start shopping for nice Christmas presents for them. Brush up on French in case I wind up as a refugee in France rather than in the UK. Plot fastest route to Canada from my undisclosed location, as my escape from the future Fascist Turd World America to Socialist Europe will probably involve passing through Canada. Investigate feasibility of moving to New Zeeland.

The military commander overstepping his bounds is only a small part of the story. The big point is that America is well on its way to becoming a Turd World country with a tiny wealthy elite, no middle class, and huge numbers of poor people fighting for the crumbs that trickle down from the wealthy class.
