...I saw a billboard on I-95 near Richmond, VA earlier this week that looked similar to this, I'm guessing or hoping that the VA lottery board doesn't know what the translation means:

Not quite topical, but this is my current favorite billboard.

I've lost my pic of a billboard that had a warning from the county health department on childhood obesity combined with a Little Caesar's Pizza ad, alas.

I had never really thought about it; But, it is rather in-ter-esting con-sidering that the song from which the state "pulled" that line was written in the late 1930s.

Hail to the Redskins.
Hail victory.
Braves on the war-path,
Fight for old Dixie.

Wow, WTF, who knew the Redskins anthem was taken from Nazi propaganda.  Another reason to support the Cowboys I guess.

Umm, so this is about the word "hail"?  Watch out, the Nazi influence goes back 200 years and all the way to the top!

Sieg heil = the Nazi salute, exact translation being Hail Victory, or Victory Hail! The word hail by itself doesn't make me as curious as the combination with the other significant key word.
