Trading sex for a place to stay is one of the most frequent forms of sexual exploitation of vulnerable youngsters, says children's charity Barnardo's. It follows a study examining young people at risk of such exploitation and trafficking in East and West Sussex.
The report named Brighton and Hove, Hastings, Lewes and Haywards Heath as the main areas where they were at risk. It said the true extent of youth homelessness was hidden by squatting and "unspoken sex-for-shelter" deals... (source)
