When I lived in DC it was a common sight on the Metro busses when it started getting cold this time of year to see Asian mom's just grab their kids (some as old as 4 or 5) and suction out a great big loogie, then spit it into isle. The first time I saw it I about lost my lunch, but after a couple of years, you just get used to seeing stuff like that.
