One thing that IS a fact, kindly pointed out by the fine folks at Monju, the Japanese fast -breeder reactor: No matter how much plutonium you eat, you will NOT die of radiation poisoning.

The only confirmed fatalities from Chernobyl were those killed in the original blast.  Honest.  Look it up.

You aren't actually serious are you?

Just like a Republican to slant the truth.  That is exactly how Coulter would have reported the findings: http://www.unscear.org/unscear/en/chernobyl.html#Health

The fatalities depended on the amount of exposure to radiation, as one would expect.  Those who were the closest died, not all in the blast, but from injuries attributable to radiation.  Others were exposed to lesser amounts, got radiation poisoning,  and recovered.  There was also an increase in thyroid cancer.  Many others got low level exposure.  There is no evidence that the low level exposure prevented anyone from getting cancer.  The logical, and RATIONAL conclusion is that low level exposure is not fatal and it will not necessarily cause cancer, not that it is therapeutic in any way.

Oh, I'm sorry... you wanted logic? That's another thread.
