I especially enjoy the fat cunt in the swimming pool asking them about freedom after the police told them not to travel in groups.

America the beautiful- countdown from 1 and a half years and I am moving to Costa Rica.

Obviously, they should never have been brought here in the first place.  It’s not just a matter of cultural differences; these people have been transported from a region stuck in the Stone Age into an advanced part of the world.  The refugee organization or church group that brought them here is guilty of incredible cruelty.

I want to go back to the stone age.

I am saving up to buy a Farm in Costa Rica with pineapples and limes and toucans and peace and quiet. I am fried to the point of surrender with life as I know it.

I think those guys would be a good addition to High Street.  How can we contact them, if just to show them the real America.

My wife and I took a long look at Costa Rica for retirement on a recent trip.  It's a beautiful country and pretty laid back.  The only thing holding us up is family and friends here.  What part of the country are you looking at?

I wasn't arguing that advanced is always better, but these people might as well have been dropped off on another planet considering how very few similarities there are between their previous reality and ours.

Tentatively about 30 mins to an hour east of San Isido. There is plenty of open mountain land there. Great for a small lodge and growing coffee or whatever else floats your boat. Abundant water and peace.

I'm going back this fall. I want to meet up with some ex-pats that are NOT real estate agents, so I can get the skinny on the real downside.

Family and friends and fear of the unknown are keeping us here too. My business is tying me down hard too. These things that were keeping me here are now the things I want to escape.

I want a mule with a cart and a bunch of fresh fruit to pick in the mornings and no other responsibilities.

PS: I accidentally hit "report" instead of "quote". Hope I didn't fuck something up.

They see you coming. Big pale face don't speak Spanish navigating an entrenched bureaucracy dating to colonial times?

I haven't gone back in 20 years but loved it. My advice, rent a car and zig zag at whim north and south, coast to coast.

I recall Costa Rica as a nice place to visit.
I would not want to homestead there.

There isn't even a good explanation of the relationship between Jesus and Santa for Americans.

Whoever did the "translations" did a shitty job. They picked the wrong words a bunch of times and in ways that change what the person is really saying.

PS: CR works for some people, but among the ex-pats I have talked to there about half want to come back to the US but can't because selling your property and repatriating your money is very hard and you can't really leave for more than a month (sometimes even less) because the law protects squatters and can give your property away to anyone who can show they squatted for 30 days.
