If he really is, I could pretetend He exists and thank God.

Ain't gonna end anything, but good news all the same.

Great weekend for Obama, he gets to announce Bin Laden is dead and belittle Trump in public all in the space of a couple of days.

Good news indeed.  Let it not be said I refuse to give Obama credit when it's deserved.

Now, if he'd just use this as an excuse to end the stupid pointless wars, that'd be even better.

Plus, I'd like to see him use the same relentless determination to bring to justice all the devious underhanded bastards responsible for the dire financial straits in which we presently find ourselves.  Go get 'em while you're on this hot streak, Obama!

First we see the birth certificate, and now a dead Osama.  The White House Photoshop department must be working overtime.

It seems that he is, but he was only ever a money man and a mouthpiece. Let me know when they catch up to al Zawahiri.

Put the wet blanket away.  This is a great accomplishment.  I hope we can now crush the rest of their leadership, including al Zawahiri.  They've got to be in a panic now about how much we know and may have learned.

I love how, already, someone has faked a photo, it has spread around the net and been proven a fake. No photos have been released by the White House or those who pulled off this mission. That decision will come in the future. I believe there is no way to avoid releasing photos and video in the end, but the consequences of that could be fuel for martyrdom. And in the end, there will be those who refuse to believe, just like the birther crap. What a wonderful, cynical world we live in.

It says a lot that we didn't notify the Pakistanis before flying a Navy SEAL unit in under the radar. Allies...

It'll also be interesting to see how people like Fox and Friends are going to spin this. I'm not saying Obama is personally responsible for this positive news, but it's going to be tough for them to make this into a negative for him, which they're contractually obligated to do.

How is celebrating murder a good thing? The US empire created a monster and a martyr. Where's the shame?

Except for the empire thing, I agree with you. The celebrations are reminiscent of the dancing in the streets in Islamic countries after 9/11--that was low class, and at the time I remember hoping that we would be above that kind of thing were we in their shoes.

Yes, it's only a symbolic act and no, it won't stop terrorist attacks, but fuck yeah, it sure feels good.  I do wish they wouldn't have dumped his body in the sea.  I would rather have him buried at ground zero with full honors in a casket he would share with a 400 pound pig.

Killed and buried at sea, already? No, he may be dead but this was a timed release for publicity. He may have been dead for years, he may still be living in Crawford Tx. This didn't happen last night.

I think Obama misspoke when he said the operation happened yesterday.  The first news I heard was that it went down almost a week ago, but they were waiting for DNA tests to come back for positive confirmation before going public.

Here's a thought.  Anyone trace whos's estate Osama was staying at?  I think that should be of interest.  Was this person related to Pakistani Intelligence Services?

The guy had a lot of money, so it probably belonged to him or a shill.  Apparently, the compound was located in a neighborhood populated with retired Pakistani military.  Someone certainly has some splainin' to do.

Yeah, that is what I heard.

It was tweeted live from the village

Edit: the Tweets

Apparently an English speaker in Abbottabad started tweeting about helicopters and gunfire at 1am (local) on Sunday.

I saw and read that earlier.  I do remember though last night catching commentary before the POTUS's speach that Obama was waiting on DNA reports, and that a bombing had taken him out.  Wife remembers it as well.

Actually, Cheney and others of his ilk have also given credit where credit is due. Palin? Cantor? Well, it's probably more than than their little pea brains can handle.

Google Reviews of Bin Laden's hideout

"Located in cozy, quiet neighborhood. Interrupted only occasionally by machine gun fire. Lacking in ameneties, but an up and coming area. Handyman special. One satellite phone available with smoking bullet hole for comms back home. CIA helicoptors offering complimentary air lift service for corpses. Great property to get away from it all. Must See! "

I learned the news when I got up this morning, and then had to go to goddamn work.  I can't tell you how much I wanted to just sit at home in my jammies just to read what this pack of deviants had to say about it all.

At least I can say that when I got home, you fulfilled all my expectations.  Thanks.

I wanna get all my important news this way.

That's a big ass compound, compare it to the near by Cricket Pitch or the soccer fields just up the road.

Aaaannnd, here's your narrative that will cost Obama the election in 2012.

Unarmed, shot execution style in the head.  Not saying I agree with the spin but this administration is piss fucking poor at keeping their stories straight.
