Japan started two different space organizations. One studied American designs and built infrastructure to manufacture large boosters. The other started from first principles and produced a first rocket the size of a pencil. Guess which group got into orbit first?

I believe the Society To Assist Penguins In Achieving Flight will have reached its goal before this outfit, and if I were to donate to an improbable endeavor, the penguins would be the ones to get my money!

I'm supportive of the idea, although space flight isn't in their future for at least 100+ years, building their first airplane may inspire a technological age in the area.
