I've said it before, but HOWTHEFUCK can you be pregnant and not know it?

It has to be denial, because pregnancy causes such profound changes that EVEN ANIMALS know when they're pregnant.

Happy New Year!!

To be fair, if you had eight swollen nipples start protruding from your fur, you'd think something was up, too.

Happy New Year!!

It happens in very large women who often don't have regular periods because their hormones are so out of wack.  Also, this mom seemed a little mentally slow.

I agree that denial probably played a large part.  However, that woman is obviously a) dim as a dimestore lightbulb and b) obese (though the camera operator seems to be trying to obscure it).

Obesity plays hob with the menstrual cycle.  Abdominal discomfort is blamed on something she ate.  It is conceivable (sorry) that the combination of her size below the waist and her deficiencies above the neck combined made her new baby a complete surprise.  It's actually not that uncommon.

Poor kid.

We can only speculate about the proud papa. "Geek" is obvious, but rail thin w/ terminal acne or as fat as the new mom?

Yes, and every sentence made me think of Seth MacFarlane.

Well, to be fair, a lot of things make me think of Seth MacFarlane. If you're incredibly smart, creative, and have a deep voice for a person of Irish descent, then I probably want to do you. Unfortunately, he's straight, but I'm just glad he exists...for everyone else's sake.
