A few points: 1. Most young people haven't learned the value of Strategic Hypocrisy.  2.  Would you want to be held accountable for views you expressed when you were 15?  3.  People like individuals and dislike groups.  A person you like who belongs to a group you dislike is somehow not like those other nasty assholes he/she shares ethnicity with.

If you are tall enough to see the screen and reach the keyboard, you must, as quickly as possible, internalize the facts that 1) The Internet Is Not Private and 2) Whatever Shit You Put On The Internet Will Probably Outlive You.

That is an excellent point, and one I haven't given any thought to for some time.  However, I don't see how it applies to remarks like "bang bang Nobama :)" and the like.
