entering the drive-through of the Long John Silver's/Kentucky Fried Chicken at 30th and Craig just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday when Bormann fired a high-powered rifle from his parked vehicle several blocks away, hitting Williams in the head.
Not an altogether bad shot.
the possibility that this was a hate crime is still being considered
I'm guessing that might have something to do with the location???

It was Long Dong Silver, frustrated after years of failed copyright infringement suits.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that would have thought of this. Wait, shakes head...remind me where I am again?
I used to say "Long Dong Silver" every time I drove by one when I was a kid. And probably well before I knew exactly what a 'dong' was.

Around here, it was always Long Dong Silva, a slur on local Cape Verdeans for whom Silva is a more common name than Smith. Knock on formica, most of our fish shops are still local.
Not one of you fuckers, I'll wager, knows from fried clams.

Steady bucko, some of my best friends have been ensnared into marriage by these said same Silva's. Others now own fish stores. But it is all for naught as no matter how many decades they manage to suffer their fates neither will ever really quallify as locals.

Kyle Bormann, 19, was charged by Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine in the death of Brittany Williams, 21.
OK, who had the Birttany pool? Somebody's a partial winner....
