Big bucks are toxic to any enterprise flogging its unpaid work force to generate more revenue and cheapen its product.

I'm not a Reddit person, but I understand that there are literally thousands of groups at Reddit, covering all types of interests, with the racists, sexists and perverts being a tiny minority.
I have, over the years, been led to several AMAs and usually they are fascinating and fun.
I've noticed various headlines in the last couple of days heralding the "death" of Reddit. If any of you are regular users, what do you think? Is Reddit dying, or just going through some changes, or what?

It's a fight over money and won't end well, unless you like cautionary tales.
I sincerely hope reddit eats shit and dies but my best guess is the site will wither and limp into a fire sale of its assets.

I'll just say, "No," but only because I really like Reddit.
The desire to make money off the site will take it apart. As they sanitize the naughty and hate groups, it'll just become more lowest common denominator. You can get that on MySpace or FaceBook.
Anyway, I plan to ride the Reddit train 'til it slows up so much that I can just step off.
