From my earlier post:
"Traditionally, the Secret Service is in charge of the security inside of the convention hall and in the immediate area outside of the venue. The rest is left up to local cops and private security, usually off-duty cops, and cops on assignment form other police departments. Cincinnati just pulled its cops from the convention because...Cleveland is being some cheap-shits and declining to pay for necessary medical check-ups for visiting officers, as well as workers compensation claims...Other police departments in Ohio are pulling out as well...Greensboro, North Carolina, also opted not to send additional officers to Cleveland for similar reasons, with their chief of police basically saying that Cleveland just didn’t have its shit together..."

I'm not saying it'll be the perfect place to go if you wanna be in a riot.
I'm not sayin' that.
I'm just sayin'.

It's amazing how many characteristics The Donald shares with serial killers.

Sadly, that makes him eminently qualified to become president.  They have all been serial killers.

Thanks for that.  The notion that, if you're left leaning, you either vote for Billary or you're a misogynistic, right-wing fucktard makes me want to puke.  But, it really doesn't matter unless there is massive house-cleaning in Congress.  That's why the GOP is in full panic attack mode over campaign contributions.  Not only could The Donald go down, but he could take Republican Congressmen with him.

Balkanization

I find the more the media focus on one aspect of a candidate, the more they are trying hard NOT to talk about another aspect of that candidate.

We're fucked either way.  Either he wins and welcome to Gehenna, or he loses and all his zombie hoards hit the streets believing they were jobbed, once again, by the Democratic Socialist process and welcome to Gehenna.

And then the cops can shoot them down in the gutter like dogs. Win/win.

Double win for us as it might finally show these assholes they don't have the firepower to take on any part of the government.

The best part is that some people are actually buying this BS from both candidates; buying it hook, line and sinker.

Is it convenient for Hillary that the only American presidential candidate in history less popular than herself is Donald Trump?
Yes it is, but most people overlook the fact that maneuvering the only candidate she can run against into the nomination AND destroying the Republican party at the same time is a pretty damn good demonstration of fitness for the job. Let's see what she can do about North Korea and the middle east.

I, for one, am hoping Trump wins. Not because I believe in any of that shit that makes him open his pie hole. But because everyone in Congress and the parties hate him. At this point in the political state of affairs, gridlock is our *best* possible outcome. Imagine a 4 year term where no bills get signed without a 2/3 majority? Bipartisanship might actually have a chance and the parties might have to work together (at least a little, let me dream dammit!). Nothing brings you together like a common foe.

Whereas if Madam Hillary oozes into the oval office, you won't even hear about all the secret bills passed in the dark of the night until it's all too late. She must have the largest collection of FBI sex tapes in the world to have the kind of control where everyone in a political position just rolls over for her.

But the "news" I'm waiting on is the choice of running mate. The time for that little bit of political theater is nigh. Anyone want to go long and make predictions? (No, a Trump/Sanders ticket is NEVER going to happen...)

My prediction is: Clinton and Wesley Clark. Only because House of Cards has predicted everything else about how her campaign is run. A do-nothing good looking military guy worked for them... Bill is another favorite WAG, but I think he's having too much fun hunting on 125th street.

Trump is the wildcard. My super long hail mary guess is Joni Earnst, but mostly because she's denying it so readily.

“Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be,” the former House speaker said. “Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported. Sharia is incompatible with western civilization.”

Poor fucker isn't relevant anymore so, more pandering to the anger vote.  You could easily say the same thing about Fundamental Christianity.
