They more I read about this "breakthrough" and the more I say "meh"... It's an x-ray scanner with OCR? How is this groundbreaking? It can only read 3-5 pages in and can't handle anything with images, complicated title pages or other visual mess. The image separation software is the interesting part, being able to separate 4-5 "double exposure" type scans is the cool part.

How about the ability to identify faces, even when blurred or pixelated?
