Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night.  Personally, I consider at least 50% of the things on here to be somewhat apocryphal, if not wildly inaccurate or downright lies.  Especially if the link is from one of those www.imakethisshitup.com websites.  Personal stories, sure, true until somebody calls bullshit but I think we all reserve the right to give any story that sideways glance of deep suspicion.

I don't know, this place is either a house of liars or a collection of some pretty wildly traveled individuals.  I know I don't make shit up or even embellish, I've just landed in some pretty wild situations throughout my life.  I was once, as a matter of fact, hidden from the police in a DJ booth by a prostitute; this was the result of the angry mob that had just confronted me.  My buddy was too drunk to function and got arrested by those same cops.

The golfer Bubba Watson owns one of the cars.  Supposedly the one that jumps the dirt ramp in the titles.  He removed the Confederate flag, though.

I don't think Trump's running the show anyway.  He's the sock puppet taking all the abuse for the GOP dismantling our democracy.  They get him to sign Executive Orders he probably didn't even read, just says what they told him they say.  With a majority in Congress, if it weren't for members of their own party being horrified at some of the legislation, they'd totally be running things right now.

OK, so I'm hardly a Trump supporter - far from it - but this article is either a bold lie or deliberately misleading.  I'll let the photo tell the story.  Sometimes 'fake news' really is fake news.

It's a dangerous time to be around a sociopath, when the self-delusions are shattered.

A Trump adviser says that after a tumultuous seven months in office, it had finally dawned on the president: “People really fucking hate me.” For someone who has spent his life lapping up adulation, however fake, it was a harsh realization. This is a man with an especially acute need for affirmation.

President Donald Trump appeared confused about a longstanding military tradition on Wednesday night.

While speaking with Fox News'  Sean Hannity at an Air National Guard hangar in Middletown, Pennsylvania, Trump paused as loudspeakers began playing the tune, "Retreat," in the distance.

It's part of a firmly rooted tradition that predates the American Revolutionary War; the US military tune signals the start and end of the official duty day.

"What a nice sound that is," Trump said, as the tune began playing. "Are they playing that for you or for me?"

"They're playing that in honor of his ratings," Trump quipped, answering his own question to Hannity. "He's beating everybody."

When the American flag is lowered and raised on US military installations, a bugle blares on loudspeakers as service members and civilians pay their respects to the flag.

Uniformed service members located outside of a building are required to stop and salute the flag, while civilians are required to place their hand over their heart. The tradition also requires service members who are driving vehicles on a military base to pull over and render a salute.

Members of the audience could be seen standing up during the ceremony:

Trump's apparent confusion about the military exercise follows weeks of rebukes from the president about NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest of racial injustice and police brutality. Trump has frequently called the peaceful demonstration, which is protected by the First Amendment, a sign of disrespect for the flag, US troops, and the national anthem.

Satire from The Borowitz Report
Trump Says I.Q. “Even Higher” Now That He Knows Virgin Islands Are Part of U.S.

By Andy Borowitz

5:11 P.M.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald Trump said on Friday that his I.Q. is “even higher” now that he knows that the United States Virgin Islands are part of the United States.

“Quite frankly, a few weeks ago, when I learned that Puerto Rico was a part of the U.S., I thought that that boosted my I.Q. to a whole new level,” Trump said. “Now that I also know about the Virgin Islands, my number must be off the charts.”

He said that he was eager to retake his I.Q. test because of “all the amazing things I learned this week.”

“For example, I just learned that the stock market can’t reduce the national debt,” he said. “If there was a question about that on an I.Q. test, I would nail that question.”

Trump said that his one concern was that an I.Q. test does not exist that can accurately measure his ballooning intelligence.

“I always knew that I was scary smart, but now I think my brain is terrifying,” he said.

(at least he got the fact that he's terrifying right)

Oh, yes. It will ultimately be viewed as the greatest unforced error in the history of the world, as the US, never defeated, simply defeats itself. We announced that we were going to take our ball and go home, then we left but forgot to take the ball with us.

The rest of the world scratches its head and asks "What the fuck?"

If you haven't seen that coming for at least a decade, you have been living in a cave. Ever since they bought the Panama Canal, China Inc has been playing the straight game out of the US 1960-1980's playbook. Buy, bully or assassinate your way into the good graces of every first world country for finances and every third world country for resources and cheap(er) labor, sit in the middle and pull the strings while collecting the brokerage fees.

Then we got environmentalism, corporate oversight (at least for a while) a bad case of apologitis while happily dunning our own citizens to pay for policing and cleaning the rest of the world.

Want to kneecap the Chinese? Get them to pay for peacekeeping everywhere, turd world welfare (including medicine), R&D on new medicines and technologies, cleaning up the environment and running the best universities in the world. They are doing well now because they aren't paying the price that we are paying.

That would be heavenly, but the alpha males here in 'Merica will not go gentle into that good night.  This is already bad and is going to get worse.  While Trump is trying to save fewer coal related jobs that Walmart has job vacancies, anything and everything not food related is already MADE IN CHINA.

I surrender, I guess. Even our food is seeing a steady drip of its toxic water torture, though how that makes any sense at all I don't understand.
