Vista is NOT progress. It's clunky, cumbersome, gobbles memory like my kids eat Skittles, and is nothing but a lame 'me-too' product."
But others defended Vista, telling critics, "Vista works fine on a new computer. You babies need to grow up and switch from diapers to underwear."
When they decided not to roll out DX10 for XP, I knew its days were numbered. Dicks.

The IT world weeps today.
Every geek in the industry that I know has been telling customers to get XP instead of Vista. Apparently, practically no businesses are using Vista.

I'll be converting my company soon. It's actually a much better product - the learning curve to administer it is steeper though - you need to know your shit when it comes to group policies.

2 companies I have worked for all work tested Vista for enterprise certification. In those tests it failed on many fronts. Many server side extensions needed for enterprise solutions fail. MS hasn't released compatible tools for a Vista environment. Namely many applications that need SQL express and Exchange management tools fail miserably. I won't name the company I work for right now, but it is owned by Bill Gates, no it's not Microsoft. Guess what operating systems we use in house? Server 2003 and XP. There are a few machines running around that have Vista on them, but 99% of those machines are VPs CEOs on the like who just want the newest and best. They pretty much only use office and email so that's not an issue.
I think it should speak loads that when Bill Gates (yes, privately owned by him) own company won't even use Vista? Hmmm lets think about this.

Wait, you work for a company where the average user needs SQL Express and Exchange management tools? You're doing it wrong.

Haha no that was my last job. We had some really BADLY written internal applications. What I'm saying is even the company I work for now doesn't trust Vista's stability either.

But I can think of a solid 5 percent of the market that would have immediately purchased a PC, instead.
