Anybody who thinks that IBM is still a paragon for good management and fair practices to loyal employees has had their head stuck in the sand for 20 years. They have been shedding business units like dandruff and if it weren't for offshore workers and long term support contracts they would have gone down a long time ago.

I lost faith in all businesses when Dell finally started having layoffs in the early 2000s.
