Go re-watch Choad's post of Norm Chomsky's assessment of American politics (the moderator asked about Trump, but got told the truth instead).  In the 1970's both the Democratic and Republican parties moved to the right.  The Democrats basically became Moderate Republicans while the Republicans went in search of the Gun Nuts, Evangelicals, and Northern Catholics.

Laborers have been screwed by their representatives since that time.  Stock market does good, investors prosper, stock market does bad, an excuse to have layoffs and make people work themselves to death so that investors prosper.  Wages have been flat since the 70's even in my profession and we're vastly overpaid to begin with.  In farming, it was always the middle-men making the money anyway. At least until farms starting becoming corporate.

Trump is a minor footnote in this fuckaree and fuckarow, a sock puppet at best.  The puppet masters are the McConnells and Pelosis of Congress.  This is why Nancy hates AOC when she should be praising her.  She doesn't want "Liberal" to again mean "for the people".
