No, I didn't write that. Whenever I tripped over stories like it I filed under assumed names and let others lunch on my leavings.
There's no percentage in notorious reporting. The money sucks regardless and you can't eat ego. It eats you, leaving an insufferable asshole in its place. I got a front row seat to its wreckage as a kid.
I focused mostly on rural towns and small cities where my work's positive impact was visible, for a little while.
There is no present or future. Only the past.
