Depressing, yet somehow funny.

Six fried eggs, cooked over-easy, 16 strips of bacon, one large portion of hash-browns, one pint of pineapple sherbet ice cream, one "breakfast steak" well done. One 16 ounce cup filled with ice, one 7UP, 1 Dr. Pepper, 1 Coke, one portion of hot sauce, one cup of coffee, two packets of sugar and four Rolaids tablets.

Is there a set menu? Bacon and eggs seem to figure prominently among the choices.

They must have a "death at dawn" policy.  Even with their last meals people have trouble bucking convention.

Would you?  It's the last meal I'll ever have in my life; I'm not going to try that new recipe I saw in Martha Stewart's Living.   I'm going to get a nice heaping helping of familiar comfort food.  I imagine after years of instant scrambled eggs it probably sounds mighty good.

But, for god's sake Tojo, did you get a load of the sheer cholesterol levels in those menus? They're lucky they didn't have a heart attack before they hit the execution chamber.

Actually after reading through a few of these I wonder if the intention was to get a really nasty case of the shits just prior to the execution.  That'll show 'em.

They should bring back the last meals of days of yore. When the Admiralty used to march the condemed through the streets of London down to the intertidal flats of the Thames it was common practice to allow the poor fellow to stop at as many pubs along the way as he could afford or convince the roving public making the crawl with him to spring for a bit of the liquid courage.
