I'm certain you'll be granted(ing) all kinds of access.

Oh yeah, and that certainty comes with the most horrendous noises.

Good thing I just renewed my license. I wonder what a standing jibe would do to the mainsail of a 200 foot sloop? I'll never know I guess, I'm limited to 20 tons.

We took the mainsail off yesterday. It required hydraulics to fold it on deck and cranes to lift it.

See the windmill out there Choad? Google's CEO put that up without telling anyone what it would look like.

That's out of my league, the biggest main I've ever folded only required 4 grown men to lift.

This may be the longest I go without technology.  I wonder if I will be able to get any access on any of the islands.  haha, as if.

You might be surprised. GSM data can often be picked up quite a long way coastwise particularly near resort areas where the towers serve the coastline. But the US Cellular companies do not offer decent data plans for overseas anymore. Often charging $20/mb. You will need a GSM phone that can take a local pay as you go sim card.  In South America you can get 5 gb for $15.

The one I fold on the 80 foot sailboat I sail on takes about 5 people to furl.  I can't imagine trying to pick it up with less people.

Not worth it, I will stay disconnected.  I think it will be good for me.
