Eugh, what a story.
When we first moved here late last year we were warned away from North Star Mall by no fewer than three people, near-total strangers. Apparently, it's a good place to park any vehicles you would like to disappear.

There's one practically across the street from where I am now. I would not say its employees were in peril of intelligence. Above selling their kids off to pedophiles? Yeah, I don't figure most of them are old enough to have 5 yos, but I guess anything's possible.

There are two we go to in DFW and both seem to have top-notch waitstaff.
I've never tried to pay for my food with a 5 year old though...

You are jumping to conclusions. Do you have any idea how annoying a 5 year old could be? It might be less to get the cake than to loose a brat.
