Over the weekend I cracked open an Osborne Pedro Ximenez Olorosso sherry that I had been saving for a couple of years, looking forward to a bigger, fruitier, richer version of it's younger/cheaper sibling, but was sadly disappointed. I couldn't even finish the first glass. It was so syrupy and overly post sweetened that it was bordering on bad port. I'm probably going to dump $50 down the drain on that one.

Another truely amazing story. Thanks for sharing. Are you James Bond in real life?

Tsongsul, or “feces wine”, is a traditional Korean beverage made from soaking human feces and medicinal herbs in soju alcohol for three to four months until it ferments.

My friends all insist on buying me ridiculously expensive Tequila.  It's almost sacrilege to make frozen margaritas with it but I rarely sit around doing shooters anymore.

This is a limited run, locally test marketed 100% malt beer from Sapporo that can beat any big-factory made lager I've tasted.

It disappeared from the stores about a month ago, I have one last tallboy left in the fridge. I'll be enjoying it very soon.

More than is healthy to be sure.  But you probably could say that about bourbon or scotch as well.

See! Now you've gone and ruined it for me. The last time this happened a guy told me Canadian whiskey tastes like hair spray when I offered him a drink. I went from loving it to hating it in one sip. It's tasted like hair spray ever since.

Ah Hair spray, shmair spray. Too much age discrimination around here. Sometimes you just cannot wait.

Tom Lix doesn't believe in age discrimination. Most bourbons might age in the barrel for eight to 12 years or more, but Lix figures his are ready to drink in less than a week.

I had a couple of glasses of Angel's Envy last night and must say I really enjoyed it.  I wonder why sometimes a whiskey will taste bad to me one day while on another occasion it will taste delicious.  It happens often.

This is actually a very good whiskey for the price!  I might not be able to contribute to this thread for too much longer because the doctor says that most likely my liver is fucked.  I'll know pretty soon after they do the biopsy in a week whether or not I can continue enjoying the finer things in life.

I'm not ready to be a teetotaler yet, having a few drinks every evening is just something that I do and have done for a very long time.  I reckon I'll just have to replace my evening constitutional with something else.

Well if you hadn't noticed my "evening constitutional" has evolved into an early afternoon tipple, I need to get back to work sooner rather than later before I end up like Fnord.
