After a ten-minute ceremony, the newlyweds--who were not allowed to kiss--cut the wedding cake, while other inmates began dancing.

I guess I just don't get the whole point of it. SSM is not even remotely legal in Florida, and I've never really been one to understand granting special privileges to the incarcerated populations of any state. If they were not making a mockery of the right to marry (which seems unlikely, if COs were reprimanded and fired), then I ultimately have to ask what purpose this serves.

Other than a raft of new DVD porn titles by Xmas.
