Looks like the artist will be rooming with Salman Rushdie for a while. I thought the cartoon was timely and funny. I never thought of the racial undertones until I read the article, and I'm always up for a good racial or ethnic joke so long as it's clever.

An earlier Delonas cartoon made fun of Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills for having only one leg, and another compared gay people seeking marriage licenses to sheep lovers. In a cartoon last month, an enormous Jessica Simpson dumps boyfriend Tony Romo for Ronald McDonald.
At least the New York Post can never be accused of over-estimating the intelligence of their audience.
