I live like Fuck the Earth Day is every day.  I plan on raping and pillaging the earth till the day I die regardless of the consequences to future generations.  I don't deny climate change and I don't deny having an effect on the world around me.  I'm just willing to accept that every successful species throughout the history of the earth has had a major effect on its environment.  If it wasn't for the early stromatolites pumping out oxygen as a waste product the earth would be a barren wasteland with all of its water still permeated with iron.  If it wasn't for the dinosaurs mowing down mass forests and all forms of vegetation the angiosperms wouldn't have evolved into existence and we wouldn't be here.  We can change the earth around us, but in the big scheme of things we are still nothing more than just one more in a long line of failed species.  Who says the current environment is the best one anyways?  The last 80,000 to 100,000 years have been some of the coldest in world history, it's been nothing but a series of one ice age after another.  I'm more than willing to accept what science says, I just don't think I'm in a position to say whether or not it's a good thing or a bad thing.  It's a thing and it's been happening since the Vendian period in world history.  You have to be pretty fucking arrogant and homocentric to think that humans are something special and somehow above nature.

That's me...  I took the afternoon off and went on a hike with this chick I know.  I've been wearing Hawaiian shirts for years, they're just so festive!!!!

It was a pretty cool hike, we took a wildlife trail into the woods a ways and found a really cool old shack.  I should scan my complete catalog of old shack photos to share with ya'll sometime.
