How many teeth among them, I wonder. I mean, not counting the toothless dead baby, poor dear.

Very sad.

I don't think the powers that be should let a mother that young have the baby unless there is an older person (the grandmother or guardian) who takes ultimate responsibility for it. 14 is reaaallly young to be taking complete responsibility for a baby, even for a smart 14 year old.

You realize she may have been as young as 11.5 years old when she was knocked up.

What was that tshirt I saw once when I was visiting Ohio...something like "I like my chicken like I like my women: battered and fried"...

Assuming she turns 15 tomorrow and the baby would have turned 21 months then the oldest she could have possibly been would be 12.5.

Kentucky you say?  Hmmm.

A-Gain, I'm telling you:  Do not believe the bull-shit that your corporate government is feeding you.  Methedrine does not cause your teeth to rot.  Some heavy users experience dental problems due only to a combination of a poor diet and a "habit" of grinding their teeth whilst "cranking."  You know, I'm getting about "fed-up" with being the only rational "voice" a-round here.  Where's Opsec?

He's right. My teeth are perfect, and I have looooong hair (another thing they say meth fucks with).

It has to do with poor diet and lack of calcium, which doing meth robs from your bones and teeth. If you grew up with adequate nutrition, and make sure you eat calcium, and brush your teeth, it's all good.

My kidneys on the other hand....shot to shit.

I keep looking for your "bag" on E-Bay*; But . . .

It's not what you think.  I'm trying to plan a "surprise party."

I read somewhere the teeth thing is also connected to the dehydration, that you don't make as much saliva and it fucks with your gums and basically they are more likely to rot out of your head. I mean, for heavy users. Though I gotta say, I don't think any one uses meth intending to become a heavy user, do they?

Eh, I might consider it were I not so much of a "commitment-phobe."  It sure as fuck "beats" the "snail's-pace" of slightly-more-amusing-by-the-day-and-didn't-I-tell-that-you-was-coming "reality."  I mean, if we're going to compare . . .

No, but one of your first thoughts after you take it is, "I think I'm going to ingest a lot more of this."

Or something along those lines.

Smart people make provisions for the downsides of usage, but it still fucks with you.

*face tics*

Kidding.

Which is primarily what makes it such an insidious drug.

Yeah - Be-Cause, it's not like I ever got addicted to caffeine and nicotine.

I'm afraid I have little experience with meth, but thank you for the aspersion. My understanding was that of Toe's, that lack of saliva encourages bacterial growth in the teeth, and I can't imagine constricted blood flow is very good for them either.

As to where I am, I'm right here.  I read the forum daily if I can and enjoy it, but I'm unable to spare much for interaction.  I also don't like to post from work, and I'm pretty careful about surfing there.  While I own the server logs and my co-workers are relatively laid back, I'm subjected to a veritable alphabet soup of agencies whose righteous minions are always hanging around for some reason or another.  So I have to keep the goat porn to a minimum.

Suffice to say that I do enjoy most everyone's posts and comments.  Please do carry on.

I've done my share of meth. I know exactly how great a drug it is, and I know - for me - it is not a healthy choice. I don't smoke and caffeine is an addiction with which I live happily. I was never seduced by it as I was with meth. While I know people who have been taking it for years (and years) and who get by just fine on it, I'm not one of them. I thought I could handle it, and I enjoyed the hell out of it while it was good. Then it stopped being good.

There used to be a concoction in L.A. in the late-ish 70's called: 60/40.  60% Meth/40% Cocaine.  I can't even put into words what this was like.

Fond Memories just the same...

Yeah - Each drug and each user is different.  I could never under-stand people who allegedly had "an alcohol problem" until I temporarily took in a room-mate who demonstrated to me just what such a "problem" entails.  And, now, I'm realizing that nicotine has a more "serious hold on me" than I'd previously considered*.

*Still haven't found a reasonably-priced, illicit, source; But, I do have a plan which will have me "swimming in tobacco" for years to come (Not a particularly good plan, mind you - I mostly "lifted it" from "Reindeer Games.").

I realized how addicted to nicotine I was when I ran out of smokes had no cash and actually considered picking through the ashtray at work for the one cigarette that hadn't been completely smoked.

Then, I started the patch. No smoke, no tar taste in the mouth, but no screaming fits, either.

Hey, that's an idea. Why isn't there a meth patch? A crack patch?
