Although I'm pretty sure he will entirely self-destruct at some point, I think he's got a while yet.  He needs to get all wasted looking and collect a few more mug shots, preferably where he's looking really sallow and gaunt.  He also needs to move to much harder shit than just pot and lean.

Oh, hang on... I just read the articles about his 'street racing'... says he got up to 55-60 mph in a residential area.  60 mph is *racing*???  Shit, we would clock well over a ton on Front Street in Phila back in the day....  60 mph is just normal commuting.

In a Lamborghini no less.  I suppose we shouldn't expect too much.  After all, his dad only recently removed the training wheels from his bike.

Just a publicity gimmick to hype his "bad boy" image, he's growing up and has to boost his "teen rebel" image with his audience after all. He'll get off with a slap on the wrist. If we're lucky maybe someday his pill-popping ways will lead him to pull a River Phoenix, but the forces of commerce will certainly try to prevent him from going that far.

He's James Dean to a younger generation, his image is completely fabricated by the entertainment & media industries in that mold. Bet that makes you more than a little nauseous to think about.

James Dean?  No, more like the Fabian Forte of his generation.  That guy couldn't sing or act either.

The Guardian's take on the matter:

When the arrested officer attempted to stop Bieber – whose hit As Long As You Love Me delivers the tender message that a simple love can defy all hardship a couple might face – the singer inquired: "Why the fuck are you doing this?"

But just maybe he CAN drive a convertible under a station-wagon. Justin, if you're reading this I dare you to try!

I agree about the lack of talent, that's par for the course for creations of the entertainment industry. My comparison to James Dean however concerns his importance to a generation of prepubescent Beliebers. Who the fuck remembers Fabian, besides you? Fingers crossed that Bieber's bad boy pretensions lead him down the alternate path of Paul Walker, another equally ridiculous generational idol.

No...My own dear ma is of the generation to whom James Dean meant so much.  Bieber is not to be compared to that phenomenon--in fact, no current entertainer can be compared to James Dean, or to the Beatles, or Elvis or even Elton fucking John.  Bieber fans are all girls who are at a particular age to get sillyheaded over hairless boys with big eyes.  In two years or less all his fans will have outgrown him and the next crop of prepubescent girls will get sillyheaded over some other big-eyed hairless singing boy.  It goes on and on eternal.  Ever heard of Bobby Sherman?

Yeah, I agree Georgie...  think you have to compare him to David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman or some other teeny-bopper idol... the type where there's no 'there' there.

James Dean had substance and depth.   Bieber is just a carboard cutout and will be discarded and long forgotten in only a few years.

I doubt the little douchenugget can find his own peeny without assistance.

Bobby Sherman was my own (first) non-threatening boy.  There were a few others after that but nobody cares, not even me at this point.

Maybe Georgi and a few others remember him, but that is precisely my point.  As Georgi says, Bieber is just another in a long line of forgettable pubescent puppies, created at a marketer's desk, to titillate young girls (and a few boys too).

Stupid car has paddle shifters, you can't NOT find second gear.

OK, so THIS is drag racing?  Really?  Seriously?

Looks more like a realtor giving a tour of the neighborhood.

I'm pretty sure from the description of the road being blocked by his entourage that this video comes from after.  The whole 60 in a 30 thing probably happened after too, while the whole group was leaving.  The cops generally give speeding tickets for what they witness.  Unless this was well after, or they stopped to wait, he didn't have any real speed for long.  The SUVs are right with them.

I can't cast too many stones on the street racing front, having been way over three times the limit in a 30.  Not so much any more, that was 20-30 years ago.  These days it's a felony, you get the bracelets and your car gets towed.  With the Brembos, tires, etc. it's nowhere near as dangerous now, but maturity (or a knowledge of mortality) restricts my nonsense to low traffic roads out of town these days.  That said he's a piece of shit and I'm glad my children aren't beliebers.

The reason they've gotten so serious about it is probably a) roaring through residential areas makes it more likely you might hit/kill a pedestrian resident or go out of control and fuck up a bunch of property; and b) when people go racing around their streets at night the residents WILL call the police and raise all kinds of hell about it.
I lived in such a neighborhood for a while (older, very quiet) and we had a spell of late-night drag-racing teenage idiots.  One of 'em went out of control and literally totaled a neighbor's car that was parked in front of his house (the neighborhood was too old to have garages and we all had to park at the curb).  When the little shits regularly wake you up at three AM--and destroy your property to boot--you can hate their guts without ever setting eyes on them, believe me.

I'm not up to date with my South Park, and was wondering if its Canuckistani-bashing creators have focused their attention on the Bieber menace. Since it appears they killed him off, I expect they'll have to resurrect him for a sequel:

Looks like he's out of here!

http://blog.chron.com/hottopics/2014/01 … 17058101=0

Another petition, probably from Beliebers, was posted a day later in an attempt to petition-block the other one. “Stop Justin Bieber from getting deported. He is a human being and he makes mistakes. He does not deserve this” has only 1,574 signatures compared to the “Deport Justin Bieber” one that has since garnered over 100,000 signatures.
