Hi show isn't one of my favorites,  but I have a great deal of respect for Colbert.  The man actually created a PAC for irony.

The last voting trend was for Action Heroes... Reagan, Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura.   I think the next one will be for comedians.   Bachmann vs Stewart.  Perry vs Colbert.  And I long for a Palin vs Palin showdown.

Ultimately the electorate will be so turned off by politics and so unable to find a single verifiable statement of differentiation in any politicians platform that we will all be reduced to making a snap decision while standing in line at the pols.

Then it will be a contest of names. Politicians will have to have short, strong names. Like porn stars. Max Wild vs Rod Fuego. Barb Wire vs Angel Cielo. It won't be their real name, but who cares, being president is just another SAG role after all.

Apparently this has not happened yet.  Neither Barry Obama nor his other name Barry Saetoro have a particularly strong ring to them.  Just in case, the Republicans will offer up Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, and Mitt Romney.  All good strong names.

As long as the first name has a maximum of two syllables (one is best) and the last name has at most three and doesn't end in an I or Y, they are electable!
