she heard a woman's voice right in her ear asking, "Who's there? Who's there?" She looked around to find no one in her immediate surroundings. Then the voice said,

"It's not your imagination."

Here's a blurb from the people who are cheerily making this nightmare a reality for all of us.

Very soon, when a smelly lunatic accosts you on the subway ranting about how the government is beaming messages directly into his head...you're going to have to give him the benefit of the doubt.  Think about that.

One of the scariest posts in a long time...as if having my eyes assaulted by all the fucking advertising wasn't enough, I now have to worry about them sneaking into my head.  Tin foil hat, anyone?

You know this is a disaster just waiting to happen.  Imagine these things in churches telling people “I am God and I want America to nuke Tehran” or imagine this technology in mosques giving instructions about infidels.  I think there soon will be a market for stylish tinfoil hats.

Welcome to your worst nightmare. The NYTimes reported yesterday Bush is personally lobbying congress to legally protect telecoms for aiding the NSA's warrantless eavesdropping program. The vote could reach the floor as early as Monday.

Yes, and I want to slap Harry Reid so hard for first bringing the military spending bill to the floor with no changes, and now this.  If we're going to give anybody amnesty it should be AFTER the details are made public, not before.

The telecoms have already won their first round (that was fast). We already had billboards that knew if you were looking at them. And that man's cranium seems oddly small.
