I think you said it all when you made the Dead Eye Dick reference, but what did this guy think he was shooting at? If anything, a person walking dogs looks like a doe walking backward. When was the last time you saw a doe walking backward?  Also, some northern hunters have much disdain for us southerners who run dogs (well, not me, but maybe my neighbors), because of the lack of sportsmanship. He took the shot after sunset, so much for sportsmanship,. Charge him with negligent manslaughter.

Using a gun isn't sportsmanship. You want to be a sportsman? Use a knife or spear.

It's a single shot hunting pistol, ergo not a noteworthy feat.

You probably don't feel it is noteworthy that he shot a woman walking her dogs either.

I agree.  Do you no longer need Doe Tags to kill them?  Without them, you used to have to make sure that not only did the deer have antlers, but that it had the requisite number of points before you could shoot them.  If I'm her husband, my only two goals in life are to raise the children as well as possible and to make this asshole's life a living hell.

This seems to happen more often than one would think. It brings me a special kind of joy.

*Gumble* *Grumble* I like this headline better:
Dog shoots hunter, but pup didn't leave the loaded shotgun on ground
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nat … 910650001/

But mostly because the site doesn't get butthurt over ad blockers.

The kinder, less cruel alternative to hunting.

The city says that will be done from marked, stationary vehicles on public roadways and at bait stations at designated sites.

Both illegal if you are actually hunting.

My brother in Dravosburg is one of the proud 3,000 to eat roadkill in PA. He got two deer this year, both right at the end of his driveway.
