Dick Cavett: How do you feel about the dope problem in America?

George Carlin: I definitely feel we have too many dopes.

Somehow I'm not suprised.  I had a feeling you'd like the last one, RT.

I do like your first two the best of all (they're all pretty awesome); but my vote goes to the second of the group.  Great work!

I'm fondest of the last two, but yeah, I kinda like them all.

Thanks Kim... although I must say, your sentence has confounded me.  I want to say thanks, cause you used the word "perfect," and well, I'm an attention whore.  But then you said something really stupid, so now I'm wondering if I should pick on you.  I think I'll be nice until my mind sorts this out.  So thanks sweetums! :)

I'm not sure; some beauty school, maybe?  She's not the dumbest poster ever, but her links are crappy and her comments are uniformly witless.

Actually, I was being sarcastic.  They weren't displaying when I posted that.

Now that they are displaying I like the dog hitting the tree.  But the coloring makes it (as well as the rest) hard to read.

Okay... as far as the attention whore thingie goes Feisty,  maybe it is a good time to grab the marinara sauce? 'just suggesting, and I know Scooter would be ever so happy, as well as half the males here, excluding the Pink Brigade.

I tried, tho it's not quite the right dimensions for a banner/header (which is different from a logo, an' we'll get to that t'mara, mebbe). It's also absurd for its own sake, which has a certain cachet, but no, erm...legs.

http://www.xmere.com/forums/uploads/highstreet/hs_banner12.jpg

No offense to the thread's author (can't use 'OP' around here, dang it), as I did use some pics from another Feisty post...I think. And I'm pretty sure there's a rotator mod out there, or else some simple javascripting. An aniGIF would be an awkward file size to load first.

You'd have to be able to see under the table. Does this mean you'll be donating your porn collections?

(PS: I don't recommend using it, even if I might do one for fun. You can make HS whatever you want, of course, but the banner is the first thing people see. Pr0n & gaiety take their toll. I'm sure you already know we're one character away from a Baptist church's site. Throw me some ideas for logos, if you're in the mood later.)

I tried to make this a bit more banner friendly.

I figured I would leave the text up to those a bit more clever than myself, but then couldn't stop from contributing a few craptastic versions of my own.

Simplest anti aliasing for gif transparencies is a 1px stroke effect.

edit: On this site, I almost always stroke with #00034d. Might also try select/modify/contract by 1px. Yeah, yeah, I'm tedious.

We can add an autorotate feature to cycle different headers if that might be desirable.

Thanks Opsec - if I were a suck-ass I'd compliment some of the other banner-makers. Even pALEPENIx has it going on. I think my favourite is his cruel to be kind offering...the look on mrs. elephant's face puts me in mind of that old joke...the one that ends: Please Sir, I've never done this befoooooooore!

Extremely.

I zipped thru the redo-able ones in about half an hour. If you (or anyone else of note...everyone step forward except Willy) would like to pick a few, then I would be happy to tidy up the edges, add copy, lube and insert in your cat's ass, etc.

I can't use a stroke (maybe black) because of the other skins, or just because it looks cheesy. The only thing worse than that would be to Emboss/Bevel the whole thing. [shudder]

There is a utility to upload images to the site and cycle them into the rotation (moderators and above must approve a submission before it gets in the rotation.) I will send the utility later, once I have finished testing the fucker.

Hey Feisty, I haven't included your images because of their size, if you can make them no taller than 200 (preferably 150) pixels, and up to 750 px wide (wider than they are now) I will do so immediately.
