Most people report the effects lasted five days. Some said seven days.

It's a very interesting phenomenon.  Thanks for posting it.

I have a friend who went on a prolonged cocaine binge and that ended with a him hallucinating hundreds of little people (he thought they were children) up in trees, on his roof, and surrounding his house.  He said he believed they were taunting him.  He tried running away from them and ultimately got picked up by police.  He then spent several months in a mental hospital.  Fortunately, he recovered and is doing well many years later.

On hearing about this mushroom and reading the story, I have wondered if there might be a connection.  Perhaps it is a specific region of the brain that is affected by constituent ingredients.  It seems likely that there is a reason why such pattern "hallucinations" occur.  Or perhaps on some level the little people are actually there but we are normally blissfully unaware.

The reports of trooping fairies in northern Europe points to perhaps just a glimpse into another realm. This is by far not just a European phenomenon, little people are in worldwide mythology/sies.
