A proper honor in those parts.

Not a good idea around here, some uber-capitalist would step in and grind the bodies into cattle feed.

Ah.  Sky Burial.  I think it is a reasonable way.

Tibetan sky burial is a fascinating, and I think, very fitting tribute to the circle of life.

I've long been fascinated, and don't find it gruesome.

My Woggah is back!  All I need now for happiness is for Ptah to show up!

I have no lust for you, RT, but please don't be a stranger.

Meanwhile - I'd prefer my carcass to be out there to provide nutrition for coyote, buzzard, and badger. Burial takes up room and cremation just makes your carbon footprint bigger

Yep.

So...no one else a bit concerned of why the corpse was hogtied first?

Perhaps he was a Revenant.

I think I'd like to go with Viking Burial myself.  If the Sky Burial isn't an option, that is.

Sorry folks, just been busy.  Working a temp job while trying to sell the home...

Are you still leaving the country?

You are brave indeed!

Some of the most fun I've ever had working was on temp jobs, weirdly enough.

Yeah, hoping to leave the country but it probably will be longer than I hope, since I have to sell my home first.

I'm temping for a company I worked for a few years ago, and I like it.  I loved the company then and the people, the pay is just a little on the not-so-great side.  But work is work.

Sky burial would be perfect for me. Especially if we could do it on the front lawn of the IRS.

That's a romantic option certainly, but one I now see as a waste of a perfectly good wooden boat. We need to preserve wooden boats, not destroy them in a vain attempt to provide yuppies with a final thrill.

I have some background in the 'industry' and long ago tried to imagine how I would like to be handled after death, and decided I wanted to be composted. (Composted, then used to grow a big load of sinsemilla for a big party for my surviving friends; but that's another post) I then came up with a plan to compost bodies in a way that would comply with the relevant public health laws. And people said I was insane! MWA HAA HAA HAA HAA.........

Tall Paul,

Take your yuppie insults and go find a BMW forum or something to sling them in.

Sincerely,

I wouldn't even piss on a BMW; but we can't afford to let Viking funerals catch on unless the boats are fiberglass soaked in gasoline or something. Maybe dropping flaming nazimobiles from a C-130 might become the new way to go out?
