Ok, now I know that there are only a small handful of Aussies here, so I figure The Chasers War on Everything isn't a widely known show round these heyah parts.
Anyways, it should be. These guys are fucking hilarious. You can watch the episodes in full on the ABC's website, the day after they show on TV (usually thursday afternoon here). Whatever you do, go now and watch what you can. They used to have all the episodes up but it seems due to the server load, there are only the current 5 or so.

Didn't these cats accost the good Reverend Phelps and his crew? If it is the same, God Bless Them! In that episode, the Westboro Church members were (more commically than usual) show to be the jackasses that they are. Thanks for more vid R_T!

Yeah, the political stuff was obscure for me as well at first...but all you need to know is John Howard is a douche, and they make fun of him all the time. It's funny watching them stalk the prime minister and all of his opponents as well. They also like to make fun of Anna Coren, this news reporter chick over at "Today Tonight" (another news venue) - Anna makes the most HILARIOUSLY stupid segue's I have ever heard. They do a skit called "Anna Coren's Ridiculous Segue's".
They have been a bit heavy handed on the political shit because their elections are coming up in the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, this week was the last episode of the season...next 2 weeks are solely political. Try to find the ones where they pick on Sheik Hilali (the wackjob muslim leader over there - he's not wacky because he's muslim, he's wacky because he's insane). I know there are other sections on that page that just focus on certain skits instead of the whole episodes. I've almost peed my pants with the shit they can get away with over there in Oz. It's amazing how close they can get on a regular basis to the Prime Minister, and how he often takes it in good stride and jokes back at them.
Some of the shit they do though, like "If life were a musical" or "If life were a commercial" are hilarious...
