But she is quickly learning that water filters clog quickly from solids. You gotta prefilter with a cloth or your expensive 1 micron filter won't last but a couple of sips.

Clearly the teacher is not drinking water full of shit.  She is using a filtration device and teaching about filtration.  As I said, stick to racism.  This is basic science and not even that interesting.  I did a science project on water filtration in 5th grade with various levels of sand and charcoal and cotton fibers and alum showing how third world communities can purify water.
