Alexander Hamilton's dueling pistols had a secret hair trigger mechanism: setting it gave him a pistol trigger that would fire the priming with the smallest twitch of his finger, while leaving his opponent with a trigger requiring several pounds of pressure giving the owner of the pistols a huge advantage. When he tried to set it during his last duel, the pistol misfired and Aaron Burr shot him dead. It just goes to show up the character and true spirit of that sneaky little shit. That spirit lives on today!
