His reaction to questions seemed to indicate that there might be pictures out there somewhere, but pardon me if I wait for someone other than Breitbart to break the story.  He has less than no credibility.  The fact that he reports it actually makes it less likely to be true.

Here you go tojo.  This is the story according to HuffPo claiming Weinergate is over.  Go ahead, read it, and make believe it's true.  For the rest of you, here are more pics of our beloved legislator..  Here's yet another he sent out to a different young woman showing  him and the pussies.  According to Breitbart the good stuff is coming later.  Isn't this fun?

If he's been behaving stupidly, then he needs to be called on it and he should own up to it. Why anyone - especially a public figure - thinks any of their behaviors are secret anymore is beyond me. Despite that, no matter how moist it's making you Phreddy, Wiener's behavior still doesn't rank up there with the rank hypocrisy of the vast majority of the Republicans and various Christian fascists (or John Edwards or Bill Clinton, for that matter) who've been caught numerous times over the past um, many, many years after singing the praises of traditional family values and personally attempting to make people like me a scapegoat for society's ills.

Wiener was stupid. The fact that this is, apparently, all the likes of Breitbart have to jump at just underscores how, ultimately, meaningless it is, however.

Agreed, this doesn't rise to the level of a fully erect crime.  However, it's always fun to catch a self-important public figure with his pants down.  I know from talking to women who have signed up with dating sites that certain men think it's sexy to send pictures of their junk to women they don't know.  Can you imagine a woman who receives such an email thinking, yeah, this is the kind of guy I want to date.  Yeah, we can have babies together.  The fact that one of these creeps is a powerful congressman makes me chuckle.

It get's better still.  After another woman provided the story below, he is to hold a news conference any moment now.

The woman provided  Radar and Star with a partially redacted transcript of a private Facebook "sexting" exchange she allegedly had with married Weiner on March 16.

Weiner, 46, wrote to the woman, "ridiculous bulge in my shorts now. wanna see?"

She responded: "Yea! can u send a pic?"

"jeez, im rushing. let me take a quick pic," Weiner answered.

After the woman asked how she was going to receive the image, Weiner allegedly told her: "It wont go away. and now im taking pics of it. making me harder still."

The woman told us the married politician never sent her the nude photo because he "got cold feet."

But she claimed she has long been the object of Weiner's steamy flirtation and the pair have carried on a "long-term Facebook affair" since early this year.

Actually, he's owning up to it now and - for all his idiocy - he's stating very clearly that it was "dumb," that he "lied" about it, and that he intends to continue his work.

"I'm accepting responsibility for this shameful thing..."

"This is my own personal mistake..."

"I was embarrassed and I didn't want it to lead to other embarrassing things."

He's stated several times that he lied about it.

Breitbart can go fuck himself.

Hey, were it not for guys like Breitbart, Weiner would still be sending out pics of his weener and ACORN would still be advising people how to set up a brothel of underaged immigrant girls.

Edit:  Is it going to be enough for a creep like Weiner to act contrite?  We'll see.

Breitbart's an attention whore. The only reason he writes for the Right is because it doesn't require nearly as much talent or intellect.

Yes, it is fun to watch Weiner squirm...did I just type that?  Never mind.  The only disappointment was that most of his webcam women were before he got married.  I was sure that it was going to turn out that he had been sending pictures, just not the one that went public, based off of his earlier non-answers.

He's resigning, which is too bad. His behavior certainly betrayed a lack of judgment, but his work as a congressman was exemplary. A nice essay on why congress's sexual peccadilloes shouldn't matter unless they expose hypocrisy on the part of the perp.

For the gay male, this is not much of an issue. We were always more in touch with that primal urge, and we knew that while our penises required a certain amount of our attention, the resulting peccadilloes did not define our larger role in the world.

The bottom line problem with Weiner is something everyone is hesitant to mention outloud.  He is a flasher.  He gets off by showing his penis to young women.  Were it not for the availability of the Internet, he would probably be out there cruising bus stops wearing a trenchcoat.  Certain kinks are acceptable and others are not.  I doubt that the alliance of gays, lesbians, transgenders and cross dressers would invite flashers to their meetings.

Given the propensity of many my fellow male HS residents show for young women - and who knows how many among you enjoy online relationships with women other than your spouses or SO's - it's hard to take that accusation too seriously. Now that I'm in my mid-40s, I'm finding that plenty of young guys in their early and mid 20s are coming on to me. My relationship with my partners is open and, provided I'm honest with the young guys who seem to like me, I fail to see what the problem is.

What Weiner did wrong was to lie about it to his wife and, then, to lie to his constituents and fellow representatives about the matter before finally telling the truth. For that, we can plainly accuse him of douchebaggery and dipshittyness. Otherwise, his "crimes" pale in comparison to all those who pushed family-values agendas and pro-marriage (and anti-gay) legislation only to be found out as the hypocrites they were.

I wrote and called my rep's office - Nancy Pelosi - to tell her I opposed her pressure on Weiner to make him resign. The final decision was up to his constituents.

Other than the fact that he was a red-hot liberal with a strong following among the Left, I'm actually pretty surprised you'd take such a strong stand against him, Phreddy. To oppose his politics is one thing but to jump on the bandwagon for such trumped up accusations seems a little shallow. A flasher? Really?

I'm also waiting for a political spouse to get up behind the podium to say "So what if he cruises Facebook or other places flirting with young women? He has my permission. Plus, they aren't as hot as my 'special friend'..."

I seriously believe he is a flasher (or whatever the medical term for that predilection happens to be.)  As you note, I'm not a harsh judge of the lifestyles or fetishes of others, but being a flasher carries a particular "creepiness" factor that would not be easily overcome with his colleagues.  For instance, being a gay elected official is OK.  Being a gay elected official who solicits sex at truck stops or by playing footsie under the bathroom stall walls crosses the line.

Exhibitionists rank right up there with peeping toms.  Perhaps the bleeding hearts will declare them the next citizen class needing special protection from ridicule.  The rest of us will continue to refer to them as creeps.

Like Taint said, the only thing he did wrong was lie.  He should have admitted it immediately, then railed on the right for using what he does in his private life to try to distract people from the fact that they've done absolutely nothing to create jobs and are holding the debt ceiling hostage to deliberately destroy what is left of the American economy.

He's not a flasher; he's not creepy.  He's just a guy who likes to unwind by engaging in CONSENSUAL hot chat, and exchanging CONSENSUAL photos, like many, many men do these days.  Personally, I find it boring, but there apparently were women out there who enjoyed it.

Shit, I've seen the junk of a number of high-street posters.  Does that make them creeps and flashers?  (Ok, it probably does, but that's besides the point.)
