Heresy? No, it's Wozniak's engineering analysis, detached and unbiased. He says the iPhone is a great choice for many people, including those "who are just scared of computers altogether and don’t want to use them. The iPhone is the least frightening thing. For that kind of person who is scared of complexity, well, here’s a phone that is simple to use and does what you need it to do,” he told Lyons.

Here's my favorite Apple story.

Fast rewind to the 1980's.  A close friend is work my dream job, servicing Apple ][s for a small (but rich) computer store.

Along comes the MacIntosh. You know, hammer through the Big Brother TV screen, right? Freedom, creativity, full happy life and no one to tell you what to do.

My friend has to go to briefings, sales meetings, dog and pony shows, before they'll ever let him near a Mac.

At one meeting a Barbie was on stage showing off MacPaint or something, and the demo bombed.  So while Barbie is restarting after the error, my friend raises his hand and asks, "How do you get into the system monitor if that happens again?"  Barbie blinks twice, and tilts her head before answering, "The user should never go into the monitor, that's something that should only be worked on by a qualified technician."

My friend said he realized at that point, Apple was Big Brother. He never bought a Mac, either, despite becoming a qualified servicer, and owning tons of other Apple products.

The distance between booth babe, pole dancer and casino hustle was never that great. Why do they bother? Slap some tits on it, Americans will buy anything.

Tits certainly open my wallet.
