There's something that doesn't feel quite right about this story. I can't find corroboration with the 24 hour news sites.
This doesn't sound like a very spokesmanlike quote either, "Asked if the sexual activity has had a negative impact on the animals, zoo spokesman Anderson said no, that the animals were boring and laid around all day whether they had recently been raped or not."
Still it's the thought that counts, and the thought that Jack Hanna was involved in a Penn State for animals is a doozy.

Oh wonderful. I went to their top page and it looked like tabloid crap, but I still googled for more info. Damn mastheads.
