And for all that Gore Vidal is not exactly my cuppa tea, his appearance in this article reinforces what I've been whispering for years. American conservatives discovered the 6th chapter of Mein Kampf about 20 years ago, and recognized that Hitler's social equations were perfectly suited to creating the conditions that would promote their agenda for social control. The 6th chapter ("War Propaganda") is the overt blueprint for modern North American totalitarianism. If you're American (or Canadian, by unfortunate extension), and you haven't read it, then you probably fall short of understanding the depths of the current struggle, or the ramifications of failing to end the conservative reign of (t)error, which continues unabated whether they are currently in power or not.
