You have to admit, it's a hell of an etch-a-sketch.

For $1 mil, CocaCola should have bribed the programmer to make it spell their logo while driving around.

I think they should let Banksy drive it around for a week or so.

NASA should sell adspace. McDonalds and Verizon logos visible wherever the rover's cameras point.

Millions of generations later they will be interpreted as marks made to honor a deity.

Like I said on the other thread, they could have NASCARed the shit out of that rover and paid for most of the $2B price tag at no cost to the taxpayer. As long as it doesn't impact the science mission and any add-ons are paid by the sponsor, what does it hurt? Why does NASA always get all butt-hurt when you suggest easy ways to make money?

There are probably more than a thousand people in the world that would pay $10k per hour just to "drive" it in the direction it needs to go anyway.

Just another place humans can't keep thier mark off of.

And a few thousand years ago, your ilk would've been bitching that the Parthenon, Pyramids, everything created by man is an abomination.

Taking your sophistry to it's conclusion, that humans are a blight, just do yourself the favor and kill yourself.  I'll buy you the razors.
