a) a group of really badass brainiacs (who scare the shit out of me)
b) a covert operation by the CIA or FBI (who scare the shit out of me)
c) an illusion (what 'outsider' can really say if any of these things happen)(which scares the shit out of me)?

And furthermore, did it never occur to any of the supposed 'injured parties', that if their data was 'potentially exposed' to the interwebs, that it would not be compromised? 

It all basically just scares the shit out of me.  The mixture of cutting edge technology, ancient greed/avarice, megalomania, nationalism, corruption and corporate control, just makes my friggin head spin.
