Now a days you can't even ask someone to re-aim their lights with starting a war. He just needs to go out and get a bigger light and aim it in their windows.
P.s. In this area we call it Massanothin'.

I moved recently from a 19th century Massanothin' village to a beach cottage and I'm still adjusting to the profound difference and density of neighbors.
