Our favorite meme spouting idiot sounds off on the World Cup; her ideas of sport are like the rest of her ideas and we got the added benefit of watching Neymar get his back broken today on live TV playing this "girls game". (Slow motion replays were naturally included.)

To make it even more Coulter-like she rails that Americans don't like the sport because the French do - obviously a slight aimed at the Frogs - never mind that we would have lost the war of Independence without them or that she just so happens to be vacationing in Paris.  Cuz you know, she hates the French...

If Michael Jackson had treated his chronic insomnia with a tape of Argentina vs. Brazil instead of Propofol, he'd still be alive, although bored.

Ooohh, edgy...

To me "futbol" is exactly like hockey.  Except without the speed, excitement, team skills, fights, and goals.  Yeah, kinda like hockey, if hockey was played underwater.

Yep hockey would be a decent comparison if the players weren't constantly on commercial break or changing the entire team out every 3 minutes.  I think the money will tell you which sport is more exciting.

Maybe if hockey went back to their roots the game might become viable as a commercial sport again.

Well Neymar is definitely done for the World Cup.  The question becomes will he ever truly recover; it's an awful concept when you consider a 22 yr old at the height of his ability is injured as such playing a sporting game.  You can take the side of humanity or the side of Coulter, in the end you have to admit that any person playing a sport at that high of a level is exposing themselves to both injury and reward.

So far as Coulter goes, soccer is the national past-time of the Wehrmacht; those fucking pussies!

Barbarian.  Next you'll be saying that Baseball is superior to Cricket.

Well I guess the results speak for themselves; in Gridiron terms it was 49-7.  Regardless in the end it did make Hockey look like it's played underwater.

It's a sport Phred, athlete vs athlete/team vs team - learn to block out the noise from those such as Coulter and enjoy.

(Hint:  It's easier to enjoy sports which don't feature commercial breaks every 4.7 minutes.)

And next you'll be claiming that America invented Rounders baseball.

I'm not even claiming that Abner Doubleday invented baseball.  He did fight in the Civil War, though.

Coulter can't even get that part right...
