I'm no fan of militarized police, but let's remember that all this shit was started by a big black bully who 1. pulled a strong armed robbery , 2.  Busted the eye socket of a cop when he was asked to get out of the middle of the street, and 3. tried to grab the cop's weapon and bull rushed him even after the cop had the drop on him.

Gee, oddly they didn't mention any injuries to the officer until this point and damn doesn't that CT Scan picture have the ID and date redacted?  Too much funny stuff for defense here Phreddy.

Also the video footage released has absolutely no bearing on this current case and won't be allowed into trial; the question is why release it at all if you aren't politically motivated as it taints the case.  This department is a shit show and needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt.  These events from start to finish condemn this department as completely inept and unprofessional.

The video was released because several news media filed FOIA requests for it and the police had to release it.  Also, it is pivotal to this case.  The punk and his sidekick thought the cop was after them for the robbery, and that's why the big fat kid attacked the cop.  We also find out today that the sidekick, who was the primary witness saying the big fat kid attempted to surrender and was shot in the back, has an outstanding warrant in another theft case and for lying to police by filing a false police report in that case.  You really think his testimony is credible?

Of course nobody in their right mind would defend the rioters, but don't back yourself into a corner like Al Sharpton by ignoring the facts and attempting to create an alternative reality.

Phreddy _ If you really believe the release of video was forced by a FOIA request, then you are a tool.  If you had any experience with FOIA, then you would know better.  The eye socket thing is equally foolish.  Stick with the credible.

Point is that none of that matters, it doesn't prove mindset or intent. 

I'm not claiming to know what happened or who was at fault however the handling of the situation was neither professional nor efficient and the reaction to the protest was simply unacceptable.
