Yeah, try to do a spread sheet, or edit a book on a mobile device...

No real surprise, you even said it yourself, if you have a business reason, you'll continue to have a PC, Laptop, or the new 2-in-1 Laptops that can be both Laptop and Touch-Tablet.
However the kids, that almighty consumer demographic, want to do everything personal on a phone, including watching movies. So, of course Windows 10, no matter how good it is, works much better on a phone.
It's the natural and logical evolution where PCs were once almost exclusively purchased by businesses, and there were few PC manufacturers, to home PCs many hand-built, to home PCs available from a variety of manufacturers and cheaper than building one yourself (still our current state), to home PCs taking a major dip except for older adults and gamers.
Content providers on the Web are already reflecting the purchasing trend. You can't go to a Sports Illustrated web page without a damn video starting up. Even if the text is there at well. Because the kids don't like reading either since they were raised on the electric video teat.

I have 4 of those teenagers and when they need to do something real, like work or play an advanced game they sit down to a console of some sort. Fact of life is you can't juggle sources for your essay on a handheld, not even a fondle-slab.
Let's also be real about the numbers, MSFT sold 8 MILLION phone devices in June. To call that a failure is more than a bit jaded (by the Federal M&A love fest). By his charts alone, EIGHT MILLION phones.
This guy is an idiot, shit won't change until we have rollable or foldable screens so you can fit a piece of e-paper/device in your pocket.
More importantly Pr0n sucks on anything but a real screen which allows hands free self-gratification...

The kids are fapping to each other on their phones. Pr0n is for us old fuckers.

Why are their only 2 or 3 phones being sold in the 10s of millions each year? What a bore, is the market too small a niche to allow anything else? What if phones were designed to please their owners, rather than corporations?

Cell phones are arguably the greatest short life product ever created basically only bested by the bic pen, bic lighter and bic throwaway razor. Apparently its a case of "Go Big or not at all".
Shit, I'm still a big fan of "just take the money"
