Don't worry, Citizens United and their political cronies will keep taxing the rest of us that didn't build high rises on sand in a hurricane state to pay the claims and build the dikes and run the pumps. After all, there is no citizen too poor to pay for those nice high rises run by the developers who fund Tallahassee elections. The latest plan was to use "excess" lottery money that used to be earmarked for education as a "special bailout" in the case of hurricane damages. How's that for a tax on the poor and stupid?

We have a nasty little law here in Texas that is especially loved by us unwashed masses.  If a storm/hurricane/etc.  changes the dune structure, so that your property is now on protected land, it's no longer your property.
