Microsoft submitted a patent application in the US for a “unique monitoring system” that could link workers to their computers.

If the system picked up an increase in heart rate or facial expressions suggestive of stress or frustration, it would tell management that he needed help.

Holy shit.  I've always consigned the "Microsoft is Big Brother" lot to the looney bin, but I believe I'll need to reassess my thinking.

Apparently the Mac version offers you warm Cocoa and tries to make you feel better.  The Linux version alerts a user forum with suggestions of innovative ways to flame you for your shortcomings.
